Szeretem a TED.com-ot, és tegnap találtam ezt a remek kis előadást George Dyson tolmácsolásában az első számítógép születéséről.
Az alábbi idézetek az első számítógép programozása közben készített naplóból valóak.
- Rummin time: 2 minutes
Input-output: this includes large amount of human errors
- No use, went home...
- Impossibele to follow this damn thing, where is a directory?
- Maniac lost its memory.
- Machine or human? (error)
- Found trouble in code, I hope.
- Code error, machine not guilty.
- Damn it, I can be just as stubborn as this thing.
- Master controll off
THE HELL WITH IT!
- SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH BUILDING AIR CONDITIONER
- DO NOT TURN ON MASKINE WITHAUT OPERATOR!
- IBA Machine putting a tar like substance on cards.
The tar is form the roof.
- Mouse climed into blower, behind regulator rack, set blower to vibrating: no more mouse!
( Here lies mouse BORN ? DIED 7 AM, May 1953 )
- I have now duplicated BOTH RESULTS how will
I know which is right assuming one result is correct?
- This now is the 3rd different result.
I known when I'm licked.
- We duplicated errors before.
- Machine run fine, code isn't.
- Only happens when the machine is running.
- Machine a thing of beauty, and a joy forever.
- PERFECT RUNNING
- Dr. Barichelli claims machine is wrong code is right.
Végezetül egy odavetett gondolat:
- When there are bigger and better errors available, we will have them!!!
